Information on ASTU's engagement in the course of COVID-19
1. Online teaching learning program using different technology based models
1.1 There are 350 video supported courses that are ready for operation. These courses shall be made public so that undergraduate students can access them using their ID numbers and through e-learning platforms. However, because of the possibility that some students may not be able to access the internet, the online teaching cannot be taken as binding i.e. face-to-face teaching will be arranged as soon as things get normal. For the courses that need modifications, the content shall be supported by video and communicated to the students within the coming 15 days.
1.2 Postgraduate classes (both MSc & PhD) shall resume using developed online teaching system.
2. Research
2.1 The ongoing research on drug development by the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences center of excellence team on COVID-19 shall be carried out with a sense of urgency by involving Korean partner Research Institutions.
2.2 The professional support team engaged on literature review pertaining to COVI-19 should accelerate their efforts and communicate all the developments to the government and other stakeholders so that their efforts can be input for policy formulation and community awareness endeavors.
2.3 The three new technology innovated by ASTU staffs related to COVID-19 should be finalized as soon as possible and enter into mass production for the use of the community.
3. Community engagement: the ongoing community support activities (awareness creation, technical support for offices and the local community) should continue based on the existing situation and demand of the community.
Together, we will overcome this challenge!
